Product Advantages
Grade 1 commercially pure titanium is currently the highest-purity titanium material used in industry, with a titanium content exceeding 99.5% and only trace amounts of impurities such as iron (Fe), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), and hydrogen (H). Grade 1 titanium has a density of just 4.51 g/cm³, which is approximately 45% lighter than stainless steel, giving it a significant advantage in reducing structural weight. Compared to high-strength titanium alloys, Grade 1 has moderate strength, but its extremely low impurity levels result in excellent chemical stability.
Grade 1 also offers outstanding corrosion resistance. Thanks to its naturally formed dense passive oxide film, it maintains long-term stability in seawater, chloride-containing solutions, mild acids and bases, and various industrial atmospheres. Its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking far exceeds that of most stainless steels and carbon steels. It is particularly well-suited for seawater desalination systems, chemical heat exchangers, oil and gas cooling systems, and wet chlorine service, significantly extending equipment operating cycles and reducing maintenance costs. In addition, because it is highly biocompatible, Grade 1 is widely used in medical devices such as pacemaker housings, orthopedic implants, and dental implants.
Seamless titanium tubes are manufactured through advanced processes such as piercing and cold rolling, resulting in a dense, uniform structure without weld defects, providing higher pressure resistance and lower leakage risk. Compared to welded titanium tubes, seamless tubes can handle higher flow velocities and greater impact loads, and are more reliable under cyclic or fatigue conditions.
Seamless titanium tubes are extensively used in seawater desalination, petrochemical processing, medical equipment, aerospace, and nuclear industries where long-term service life and stable performance are critical. Compared to typical stainless steel and carbon steel piping, seamless titanium tubes are lighter in weight and offer superior overall corrosion resistance. Under the same service conditions, their lifespan is often extended by 3–5 times, with significantly reduced maintenance frequency, leading to major savings in long-term maintenance costs.
While its initial cost is higher, its overall lifecycle cost is lower due to fewer replacements and minimal maintenance.
